What do we provide?
We at Fizzy Lemon Physiotherapy understand the demands and needs of circus artists and bring this knowledge to ensure all our clients receive the highest quality, individualised care.
Our team of Chartered Physiotherapists have many years practice in both NHS and private sectors, specialising in the assessment and treatment of Musculoskeletal conditions, including sporting injuries, post operative care, back pain, whiplash and athritis but to name a few. We use a variety of techniques to improve client well-being including, but not limited to:
– Massage and manual therapies – including mobilisations
– Exercise prescription
– Taping therapies
Our Physiotherapists have completed numerous courses spending time to improve circus specific skills with:
– Jennifer Crane (Cirque Physio) and Emily Sherb (The Circus Doc).
They have spent years developing and fine tuning their skills by accessing workshops and classes held by artists at the height of their profession to gain the most knowledge as possible including: Hannah Finn (contortionist), Jade Marissa Flash (contortionist/aerialist), Salt and Water – Felipe (handstand, flexibility, mobility and contortion), Gabby Parker (handstand and former circus performer). They regularly attend classes at Addictive Fitness with Karen Gaunt (Miss Pole Dance Doubles 2019), Jennifer Gardner (YFF 2022 Instructor), Naomi Scott (aerialist/contortionist) and Elli Cooper (flow artist/contortionist/aerialist)
We understand the difficulties that aerialists have in medical professionals understanding their injuries and how to rehabilitate them towards their sport. Your assessment and treatment will be orientated around how we can get you back onto your apparatus or return to flowing.
We treat all age ranges including children above the age of 5. Georgina at Fizzy Lemon Physiotherapy has completed numerous courses to improve her Paediatric knowledge including Paediatric and Adolescent MSK Disorders. This is important as children are unique in their anatomy and present variety of different conditions that adults do not.
